Amazing content. HORRIBLE narrator.
This book is essential reading for any Catholic wishing to understand the philosophical underpinnings of the woke culture and how fidelity to Catholic teaching on the human person, sexuality and marriage is the only effective antidote to woke poison. The narrrator is so bad, however, that I had to fight through my frustration to listen to the audiobook. TAN Books can certainly hire a trained audiobook narrator, can they not? This narrator had the hypnotically-aggravating, repetitive intonation pattern of a junior high girl--sounding whiny to make a point. The most basic rule for a professional speaker is to avoid repetitive intonation pattens that distract listeners and/or lull them into a stupor. Buy the book instead of the audiobook.

Excellent sections on the origins of wokeism, the dogmas, indoctrination, and how the “City of God” may be restored. I even thought the introduction was excellent! I thought so well written, I bought additional to give to friends.

Everyone should read this book. It provides a thorough background on wokeness. I feel much better prepared to deal with wokeness now. This book has confirmed the feelings I’ve had about this all along.

I am three-quarters of the way through this intelligent, thoughtfully-written masterpiece…well-researched and documented yet legible to the lay Catholic reader…I am absolutely stunned by the convincing evidence contained therein of the neo-Marxist attacks of every aspect of American society and culture with the ultimate aim of the revolutionary overthrow of our Republic. I can’t wait to read to the end and see the suggested Catholic/Christian responses by the author, Noelle Mering. I highly recommend this book to all concerned with the state of affairs in this country. It’s very helpful to read the historical progression of this dangerous ideology as presented in this book.

I’m ordering my second set of 10 copies of this book to hand out, and I’m not the kind of person that does that. This book needs to be read by everyone, each person who reads it is stunned by how well written and informative it is. Buy this book!

A Must Read!
I might be buying several copies of this book for people who desperately need to read it. If there was ever a book that just MIGHT make a victim of “wokeness” pause and reflect on their ideology, this is it. As a writer myself, I cherished the excerpts, quotes and detailed research Mrs. Mering uses to elaborate her points. I wanted to highlight and savor each of them! The book is rich in history and yet concise. It almost reads like a thriller, unfolding each layer of the ugly Marxist beast we all, at least those who seek Truth, must face. Perhaps my excitement towards this book is that it gave me the nudge I needed to fight the good fight and confront these dangerous ideologies where I see them and it provided all the mighty weapons of Truth to help along the way. “Awake, not Woke” may be the call to action we all need!
