A hallmark of classical education is laying strong foundations in both the liberal arts and a broad knowledge-base for core subjects. The bedrock skill of memorization sets elementary-age students up for success in all later learning. Memory work builds the powers of the mind to be nimble, strong, and prepared to apply itself to any area of study.

To that end, TAN Academy’s flagship memory work program, Classical Catholic Enrichment (CCE), helps develop children’s love of learning and trains their minds for long-term retention.

CCE engages students in fun memory work through music and chanting exercises in key disciplines. Watch their self-confidence and excitement grow as they master a broad range of facts and foundations in seven subjects weekly!

The program is flexible for families of every size. The work may be scaled to any age and is suitable for every learning style! Families may use this product for multiple children.

This set revolves around American History and Geography. This set is a perfect accompaniment to any student, grades k-6, studying American History.

    Excellent program! But small maps

Posted by Jessica F. on May 19th 2022

We used cycle 2 for our local CCE co-op of families. It is a fantastic program that I would definitely use on our own if we didn’t have the co-op. I received cycle 3 to use for next year. The only 2 issues I have with this thin paper book is 1) it’s not very durable for every day use in a large family, and 2) the maps are microscopically small and not useful at all. It would be helpful if TAN could sell an accompanying set of large maps with the labeled areas matching the study with each cycle. We had to skip studying the geography portion this year for lack of good maps to study at home. It’s too time consuming to find all the locations on a general map. The program itself is solid, and we will use it again and again and we are incredibly grateful for TAN offering it at a reasonable price! It’s a great enrichment for elementary kids!
